Chairpersons Address

As the daughter of a founder member it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the new Corrandulla Show Web Site, we hope you like it.  Since the late seventies the good people of Corrandulla have come together to run one of the most successful and varied Agricultural Shows in the country.  From a solid base we continue to add new attractions  and having run our first ever Connacht Grand Prix last year we are delighted to be asked to host it again this year.  The Grand Prix along with a supporting 1.2m class, an Amateur Grand Prix and a new Connaught Development 1.5m League will attract Irelands top Show Jumpers and will provide wonderful sport and entertainment – don’t miss it !!

Last year’s show also saw the launch of a new Vintage section and as a result of the huge interest in this area there will be some new surprises this year !

Check through the web site for information on all our events including: Cattle, Dog, Horse and Pony classes, Arts & Crafts, Country Market etc

The show is delighted to provide free entertainment for children again this year – bouncy castles, slides and face painting, all their favourite stuff, you will find all this and more in the front field.

Our Show would not be possible without the hard work and support of a many of people.

We are especially indebted to our sponsors who continue to support us through good times and bad.  We are most grateful to Hennelly’s Bar and O’Leary Insurances who have come on board to sponsor our Grand Prix and 1.2m classes.

We are immensely grateful to our landowners who so generously give us the use of their fields, their support is truly invaluable.

As Chairperson I am very proud to lead what has to be one of the most dedicated Show Societies in the country, the show would not be possible without their hard work and commitment.  We are particularly proud of our younger members whose enthusiasm and energy give us all a great boost.

Please come along and support our show on Sunday 22nd June, Corrandulla Show is run by the Community for the Community and your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Lucille Smyth
