Poultry, Pet and Egg Show Rules
- Entries may only be entered in 1 class
- Plates/ cages will be provided for entries.
- Poultry Marquee will be open from 9am. Poultry pet and egg sections will be in Poultry Marquee. Eggs are not in Home Industries Section.
- All Eggs must be plated and all birds penned by 10.30 am sharp. Judging commences at 11:00.
- Poultry -Strictly pre entry only.
- The breed name, sex and colour for each exhibit must be given on the entry form
- Where there are more than 10 birds, a class they may be separated by sex, colour or breed.
- Classes may be amalgamated where there are insufficient entries.
- Judge’s decision is final and the judge has the right not to place the bird if he thinks they are unfit to be placed (if not true to standard/in bad condition/entered in wrong class).
- It is condition of entry that no entry may be removed before 4pm on Sunday. It would be greatly appreciated by show organisers if exhibitors could have the birds/pets/eggs removed by 5pm. Organisers accept no responsibility for eggs/pets/birds after this time. (All content eggs will be disposed of after show).
- Birds showing signs of illness will be removed, prior to judging with no refund of entry fees.
- It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to enter all exhibits in the correct class.
- No food/water to be placed in/on cages until judging is over. If water is required earlier a committee member will take care of it.
- Shavings for plates/cages is provided.
- Where noted in catalogue, Prizes in Kind may be given instead of cash.
- Litter Bins are provided – PLEASE USE THEM
